STOLEN PROPERTY REPORT


December 12, 2001

Between Friday, November 23, and Monday, November 26, 2001, three major thefts occurred in Lincoln County near the Happy’s Inn area on Highway 2 between Libby and Kalispell.

Sometime during this weekend, a work truck parked at a job site on the McKillop Road was broken into and over $3,000 worth of tools was taken, including:

1. Miller portable suitcase wire feeder welding unit with 100’ leads, gas regulator, 30 lb. wire roll, and 15’ Bernard welding gun, worth $1,843

2. Victor torch set with 50’ hose and scarfing head valued at $575

3. Milwaukee 4" angle head grinder

4. Bosch 7" angle head grinder

5. Milwaukee ½" drill motor

6. Heavy duty cable hoist

7. 12 lb. sledgehammer.

On Saturday, November 24, between 7:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., the following items valued at over $2,200 were stolen from a hunting camp on Loon Lake:

1. Honda 1000 watt generator EU1000, red suitcase model, valued at $790

2. Leupold 12x40x6mm spotting scope with tripod in a red bag, valued at $800

3. Leupold Windriver binoculars, $400

4. Three bi-pods, two short and one long

Then sometime between Friday and Sunday, a residence on the ACM road was broken into and over $33,000 worth of property was taken, including the following items:

1. New Honda 450ES ATV 4-wheeler, valued at $6,200

2. Bronze sculpture "Helping Hands", valued at $7,500

3. Beretta 12 ga. Shotgun

4. Krieghoff 12 ga. over/under shotgun

5. Remington 7mm bolt action rifle

6. Browning .30-06 A-bolt rifle

7. Knight "Disc" .50 caliber muzzleloader

8. Hawken .50 caliber muzzleloader

9. Smith & Wesson .357 magnum police service revolver

10. Smith & Wesson .38 special snub-nose "Chief’s" model revolver

11. Cabela’s heavy duty steel security gun cabinet

12. Cabela’s aluminum 2-rifle bullet-proof gun case

13. Motorguide ET44 trolling motor

14. Zeiss 10x40 binoculars

15. Yamaha 8hp outboard motor

16. Hoyt double cam compound bow

17. Parker compound bow

18. Miscellaneous archery accessories

19. Numerous other fishing, hunting, camping gear, including clothing, sleeping bag, knives, etc.

20. Various shop tools including miter saw, wrenches, wood splitter, and jack

Total property loss in these three crimes is $38,670. Law Enforcement has reason to believe the suspect(s) live in the Kalispell/Flathead area. Anyone with information on any of these thefts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 406-293-STOP, or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Crimestoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and arraignment of those responsible for these crimes. Callers may remain anonymous when calling or collecting the reward.
