On May 14, 2009, the Lincoln County Crimestoppers board met and voted to disband the organization. This decision was based on the declined participation of the community to utilize this service. The Crimestopper board feels these funds would be better utilized in other organizations of the combined campaign. Therefore from this date forward the Crimestopper line is disconnected and all tips are requested to be forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
